Borana University, 25/10/2025 Borana University conducted important life skills training session aimed at equipping senior students with essential skills to combat gender-based violence and enhance communication abilities. The training took place under the guidance of esteemed faculty members, including Mr. Mohamed Kemal, Head of the Department of Psychology, Mr. Adane Bekele, Coordinator of the Higher Diploma Program, and Mr. Yasin Workineh from student clinic.
During the event, Dr. Befekadu Chemere, President of Borana University, emphasized the vital importance of life skills beyond academic performance. He stated that the skills students acquire today are essential. The university is a place where they learn, grow, and develop crucial skills that will accompany them long after graduation. He encouraged students to engage in campus club activities, which can provide valuable opportunities for collaboration and personal development.




Mr. Duba Jarso, the Dean of Student Services, also highlighted the training’s objectives, reinforcing the importance of communication and awareness in preventing gender-based violence.
